Welcome to the Tournoux home in Vermont. We moved from Hilliard, Ohio in September of 2021 and have absolutely no regrets. We are in a very small neighborhood and have some wonderful neighbors. We are close to church, groceries, doctors, hospital, dining out, and so far just about anywhere we had to be.
The view above is from our front door looking south (so happy to have a driveway that is on the south side of the house – keeps driveaway a little less snowy).
One of our favorite places to go for special occasions is to the Mountain Top Lodge just a few miles from our home. We statyed overnight there on our 48th anniversary and it was a marvelous stay.
We saw the Milky Way the night of our anniversary from just a little walk from where we are standing here behind the lodge. Zoom in on the image to see it larger. You can see the Milky Way if you look closely.
The next morning we were able to see the sunrise just as it came up behind the mountain. We had this view from our room at the inn. It was a great anniversary present from God. I say that because it was cloudy up until about 5 minutes before sunrise (I was waiting with my camera) and when the sunrise finished about 15 minutes later, the sky turned cloudy and stayed that way all day. So it made it an even more special treat to see this one on our anniversary.
